Yesterday we accidentally biked fourteen miles.
(This is not a significant distance to real cycling enthusiasts; however, the longest we’d ever ridden our e-bikes previously, at one time, was seven miles.)
How do you “accidentally” ride fourteen miles?By getting lost, of course. 😜
“It’s not getting lost if you eventually get somewhere,” Mike has always maintained. “Therefore, I’ve never been lost. I always eventually get somewhere and it is usually where I wanted to go.”
“The unaimed arrow never misses,” I quipped.
“I prefer to call it exploring,” he said. “I often explore.”
“Yes, yes, you do.” I had to do an eye roll. Married ladies, you understand. 😜
In a way, Mike’s right.
However, I have a different standard. “Lost” is when:
1) you don’t know where you are
2) you are not sure how to get where you are going, even if you know where you are
3) you don’t want to be where you are and aren’t sure how to change the situation
